A year to look back on in pictures

The year started with lots of rain and the Vicarage garden was flooded
But a week's retreat at Lee Abbey, Devon, helped

Lee Abbey is a beautiful place and well worth a visit

Spring was approaching and some beautiful sunsets started occuring

In April Cathy and I went on holiday in South Dorset

The Dorset coastline was magnificent

Back in Whitstable and the weather turned misty

In May a group from the church visited the Black Forest region of Germany as part of our partnership with the German churches there

This was the closing service for our trip to Germany

Back at the Vicarage the garden was looking really beautiful

And the Kent countryside was at its best. These coming photos are from a walk I did with Beth from Wye to Chilham where I got lost due to the badly managed footpaths.

Daphne's Birthday on May 28th when she reached the grand age of 88. She is still at the nursing home Tralee in Whitstable and doing quite well.
A glass of wine at the Vicarage!

In August I did a solo walk from Whitstable to Dover around the coast to raise money for our church organ fund. Thank you to all those who sponsored me. These photos are from the walk.

Arrival at Dover

In September Cathy and I purchased a cottage in the Lake District which we were staying in as the sale went through. It is in the middle of this large building above and it is the center one of the cottages below

Do click on the link above to visit the website for the cottage. Let us know if you are interested in booking as we may be able to give you a reduction depending on what time of the year you are interested in and how many other friends and family book with us. tillotsons@gmail.com

All in all a good year. Cathy continued to work for Canterbury College and work for the RSPCA also as well as volunteer at various animal places. Work at All Saints and St Peter's has been going well on the whole. There are always challenges but  I feel All Saints is going in the right direction. St Peter's has significant challenges but is likely to be used as a Post Office for some of 2016 and this may help its outreach to the community.
If you are in Whitstable on Christmas Eve please do call by for a glass of wine from 9pm before our Midnight Communion service which starts at 11.15pm. Full details of our services can be found at www.allsaintswhitstable.com and www.stpeterswhitstable.org.uk
